Recovery Program client Diana went from homelessness to hope. She recently shared some things about her life and about Interlude, that she wanted to share with you:
Dear Interlude,
My name is Diana and I and I have been sober for almost three years. I was very grateful when I arrived at Interlude. I had been homeless and living in a tent for about four months and that's not the best way to live. So when I came here all I said was, "I have a bed, I have a bed!" It was a little overwhelming to have my own room. I spent a lot of time alone and didn't want to speak to anyone for a while.
Since those first days at Interlude, the staff has helped me in so many ways. I love to paitn - it's God's gift to me. But I never showed my artwork to people. But the staff encouraged me to keep up my art and show it, and when I did a great painting the staff loved it and said I should do more. At first I only did black and white art - now I do full color!
You get out of the program what you put into it. Staff are helpful & encouraging and helped me move on in my life.
Thanks.
