The Sound of Interlude
Celine
A narrative by Debbie C., in honor of Interlude's founder Celine Karraker
When a miracle touches you, you have to stand up and take notice. I've been touched by such a miracle - it was and is Celine.
I know now that when she gave me a hug she left a part of herself with me. I believe this is becuase I still feel as though she is still with me.
I believe that everyone she touched, she left a part of herself with them also.
When she gave a hug, she never took it back - she left it with you. When she gave, she gave fully and completely, never taking anything back - giving herself to all of us.
I believe this miracle is true because when she left, I thought there would be a great change at Interlude and I was afraid of it. But I was wrong because, as she left some of herself with me, she also left herself with the staff, so nothing changed. Her dreams and wishes for Interlude she left with the staff - she touched them also.
Celine was, and is, a miracle so it makes sense that she didn't die - she's still very much alive in all of us.
Once again, she has taught me something new. When someone leaves, it doesn't mean they take everything with them. There is always a part of them left behind, inside of you.
