Interlude is extremely thankful for the many individual, church and civic, corporate, government, and foundation funders it receives generous support from. Recent funding notices from government and private grant funders, are below.

The CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services  (DMHAS)

DMHAS has been a long time major funder of Interlude's programs and services. We receive the a majority of our program funding from them each year.

 

Fairfield County Community Foundation

This prestigious area funder awarded Interlude a $20,000 competetive grant for general operating support, for fiscal year 2010.  Interlude is extremely thankful for FCCF's support and vision for improving non profit services in Fairfield County.




The Derx Foundation awarded Interlude a $20,000 grant to support its Intensive Residential Recovery Program over the 2009-2010 fiscal year. In addition, they will award $20,000 in general operating support
during fiscal year 2010, and an additional $15,000 in matching challenge funds.

 The City of Danbury awarded Interlude a $9,719 program grant for our Condo program expansion, for fiscal year 2011. Many thanks to the City for this generous assistance to help us expand our services to people with severe mental illness in the community.


The Melville Charitable Trust
The Melville Charitable Trust recently awarded Interlude a $10,000 grant to match a $10,000 challenge given by the Robert G. and Marguerite M. Derx Foundation.


 

The United Way of Western Connecticut awarded Interlude a total of $141,699 in grant funding for fiscal year 2011 , to fund Interlude's programs.  


 

Fairfield County Community Foundation's Financial Management Assistance fund
awarded Interlude a $4,000 grant in Spring, 2010 to help with its accounting consulting fees to ensure an excellent audit. Many thanks once again to FCCF for their many forms of support!
 
 

The Meserve Memorial Foundation recently awarded Interlude $2,500 in August, 2010 for technology and equipment needs. Interlude is grateful for the Meserve Foundation's ongoing support of its technology needs.  In the photo: Kathleen Deschenes and Meserve Board Member Gary Hawley.

 
 
The Barden Foundation awarded Interlude $2,000 general operating support in 2010 for Interlude's programs. Many thanks to this area foundation for its continued support of Interlude's mission.
 
 

Pitney Bowes Community Investments awarded Interlude a grant of $500 in Fall, 2009 to provide food, supplies, and recreational activities to Interlude's clients.


Savings Bank of Danbury awarded Interlude a $1,500 grant for client supplies in December 2009.  In the photo: Savings Bank of Danbury President Hal Wibling, Interlude Marketing & Development Manager Robin Riemersma, and Executive Director Kathleen Deschenes.

 

Interlude was delighted to receive a generous grant of $1,500 in July 2009 from the BlueNose Fund, via Fairfield County Community Foundation, to support our mission. 

 

Rotary Club of Danbury   awarded Interlude a generous $500 donation to support its programs, in December 2009. In the photo: Robin Riemersma from Interlude with Jim Gargan, past Rotary President. 

The Women's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield awarded Interlude $500 in 2009 for buying household cleaning appliances and a digital camera, for Interlude's Recovery Program. Many thanks to this compassionate local organization. Special thanks to Karleen Lombardo, Interlude's sponsor from the club.

  The Ellen Knowles Harcourt Foundation awarded Interlude a grant of $1,900 in 2009 towards two new computers and also  client support funds, for the Outreach Program in New Milford.  In the photo: Kathleen Deschenes and Harcourt Foundation Board President Robert Nicholas.

  The Rose &  Kiernan Foundation  awarded Interlude $500 in 2009 towards client material and supplies costs. Interlude thanks this local foundation for its support of our clients.


Union Savings Bank
awarded Interlude a $3,000 grant in December 2008, to help our clients with basic living necessities and recreational activities. 

  Webster Bank generously gave a $500 grant in 2008 towards helping our clients with basic needs and recreational activities. Interlude thanks this them for their efforts to help improve the community.
