Did you Know?

Myth:   There are only a couple different forms of mental illness, and they can identified as 'nervous breakdowns.'

Truth:  Just as there are many bodily diseases there are also a broad spectrum of brain diseases, or mental illnesses. They have nothing to do with 'nervous breakdowns' which is an outdated an inaccurate term. Mental ilnesses include depression, anxiety disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Multiple personality disorder, Borderline personality disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and many more.

You can read more about various mental illnesses online, including at the excellent resource  www.nami.org.
