A special thanks to the primary funders of the Recovery Program who make hope possible for its clients - DMHAS, the United Way of Western Connecticut, and the Robert G. and Marguerity M. Derx Foundation.
How did the Recovery Program begin?
In 1995, Interlude was approached by the Connecticut State Department of Mental Health and Addiction Service to pilot the state's first residential program serving men and women diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness and an active substance abuse disorder.
In 2005, we compiled 10 years of knowledge into a booklet entitled Ten Years of Achievement…Ten Lessons Learned (PDF 1mb). Click the link to read this booklet.
The Recovery Program continues to deliver hope to men and women with mental illness and substance abuse disorders, and looks forward to many more years of service.
